Enduro Plain Bearing

A plain spherical bearing is a type of bearing that is designed to allow rotational or oscillating movement between two parts along a single axis. It consists of an inner and outer ring with a spherical sliding contact surface between them, which allows for angular misalignment and axial displacement.

The function of plain spherical bearings is to facilitate the movement and rotation of machinery and equipment, especially in situations where there is misalignment between the parts. They are commonly used in applications such as automotive suspension systems, hydraulic cylinders, and heavy machinery, where they provide reliable and low-friction movement.

One of the advantages of plain spherical bearings is their ability to accommodate a wide range of loads and operating conditions, including high loads, shock loads, and vibrations. They also require little maintenance and are highly durable, making them a popular choice in many industrial applications.

Overall, plain spherical bearings play an important role in enabling the smooth and reliable movement of machinery and equipment and are essential components in many industries.

Spherical Plain Bearings (or bushings) find a very wide range of uses in the following industries:

  • Heavy Equipment - earth moving equipment etc.
  • Material Handing - forklifts, loaders, telehandlers
  • Logging Machinery - all types
  • Mining Industry - all types of trailers and shuttle equipment
  • Ultra Heavy Duty Off-Road Vehicles
  • Hydraulic Industry - cylinder and piston ends
  • Wind Generating Machinery
  • Printing Machinery
Enduro Plain Bearing

ENDURO PLAIN AND SPHERICAL BEARINGS (or bushings) are designed and manufactured with Enduro’s highest standards. This includes material options, coatings, linings, and design. Commonly this series of bearings accommodate heavy radial and axial loads and are best used at low speeds, as in pivot bearings. Below are the materials and specifications categories we offer for this bearing series.

  • Races are typically made of 52100 bearing steel which is hardened, phosphate coated, and treated with molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) to reduce friction.
  • Most designs allow for lubrication via grease ports in the outer and inner races.
  • Available up to 300 mm ID / 430 mm OD.
  • Option for PTFE linings for maintenance-free and low-friction.
  • Choose from 52100 bearing steel and other steel options, such as stainless and 4140.
  • We also offer anti-corrosive coatings.
  • Manufactured to ISO standards.
